Under the direction of acclaimed clarinetist and ethnomusicologist Joel Rubin, the UVA Klezmer Ensemble focuses Jewish instrumental klezmer music as well as related Jewish and other East European traditions from the 18th century to the present. The ensemble is made up of both undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, alumni, and other members of the greater Central Virginia community.
